CSCS 360 Excavator-Experienced Operator


Course Aim:

This training is intended for experienced operators. It is a one-day evaluation to determine the operator's knowledge and ability to operate the machine safely. This CSCS assessment course in 360 Excavator Operation allows experienced 360 Excavator operators to obtain credit for their accomplishments through certification while also complying with statutory standards.


Candidates for this programme must:

  • Have at least six months experience on a 360 Excavator in accordance with the 4th Schedule - of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.

  • The six months experience must be within the last two years.

  • Hold a current SOLAS SafePass Card

  • Have completed the Completed Candidate Pack or hold a valid New Entrant CSCS trainee operators card & fully completed log book

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • 1 x Passport Photo

  • PPS Number

  • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), i.e. Hard Hat, High Vis Vest, Steel Toe Cap Boots.

  • Daily inspections of the machine

  • Functions of controls

  • Safe use of machine around site

  • Certification and testing of machine and attachments

  • Terrain and associated hazards

  • Loading dumpers/trailers

  • Transport of machine to and from site

  • Practical test

  • Theory test

Certification

Upon completing this course, participants gain a SOLAS CSCS card and QQI Level 5 Certificate.
